I handled my first business with Extra thru the 800# great, polite, respectful, and informative. Secured a space and filled it. I needed climate control for instruments and sound equipment. They directed me to Dickson City where the old Kmart was. The Lady at DC was amazing. She made sure I understood the access points and use of the entrance combination and access points to make my trip easier. I couldn’t have asked for better service! Thanks to all the crew and operators for making this a problem free experience. Jim Coan

URGENT WARNING: Negligence, Biohazards, and False Advertising I am writing this to document a pattern of gross negligence and deceptive business practices at this facility. Prospective renters should be aware that the "amenities" advertised on their website are a complete fabrication. 1. Environmental Negligence & Property Loss Despite marketing this facility as a temperature-controlled environment, it is anything but. • Winter: There is no functional heating; temperatures inside are freezing, providing zero protection for sensitive items. • Summer: The "climate control" consists of blasting AC without moisture regulation, leading to severe condensation and widespread mold growth on the ceilings and walls. We have been forced to discard thousands of dollars in baby furniture and clothing due to mold contamination. We are not alone; we are personally aware of two other families who lost nearly their entire households to the same preventable environmental damage here. 2. Severe Pest Infestation (Biohazard) The facility has a catastrophic rodent problem. Our belongings were returned to us saturated in mouse urine and covered in droppings. The stench was so overpowering it rendered a vehicle nearly undriveable. This isn't just a property issue; it is a health hazard, particularly for pregnant women and children. When confronted, management’s sole response was, "We have traps out"—a completely inadequate solution for an infestation of this scale. 3. Professional Misconduct & Lack of Oversight The management at this location is consistently unavailable during posted business hours. When present, the staff is dismissive, unprofessional, and entirely uninformed regarding facility operations. • Accountability: The owner is reportedly out of the country and maintains zero oversight of the premises. • Resolution: When reported, the staff accepts no responsibility, offering only a "file a claim" brush-off despite their failure to provide the basic services advertised in the rental contract. Do not trust your property or your health to this facility. They are actively misrepresenting their services while allowing customers' belongings to be destroyed by mold and vermin.

Extra space storage in Scranton, PA. I have already written a review on this place and they must have deleted it. The place was infested with mice. It is a climate controlled facility. My furniture and clothing and belongings were damaged by mice and MOLD. There is mold on everything. Literally. I paid top dollar for this facility because it is climate controlled. If I wanted my furniture moldy I would have stored them in my mother in laws basement. The rate has gone from $180 to $305. They have done nothing to help me. I cannot even throw away the damaged belongings there. I must remove them myself even though it was damaged by them. This place has one job to do, keep my belongings and furniture clean and safe. They failed miserably. ONE JOB! Also, I am taking a screen shot of this and sharing it to my social media since it never seems to make it to the actual reviews. I also have pictures that it will not let me post. Total joke, never go here!!

The best experience I could ask for . The online process was easy to follow , and not time consuming. They have an option to see what the storage space looks like and a demo of how to pack the unit. The unit was VERY clean , and the check in instructions were accurate!!! 5*****

Brandon was very helpful over the phone and walked me through my key and lock situation very nicely and then Just letting you know Linda is absolutely amazing. She’s a great teacher. She was teaching an individual that was in there that was new. She has great follow-through and she has a great understanding of the business which makes the customers time feel like it was respected. We really liked her and the new gentleman Patrick is also phenomenal. You’re gonna really like him as your employee. He’s very eager to learn and loves his job
