The staff at Prime Storage are knowledgeable, considerate, helpful, and genuinely caring. The facility is always clean and well maintained, and the prices are very good. In the New Windsor, NY area, this is by far the cheapest and best storage option around. I should know because I’ve stored with another facility before (not naming names), and before renting with Prime Storage I called many other storage rentals. Some of them raise their rates every three months without any notification—so be careful with those storage companies. I definitely recommend Prime Storage

The staff here rocks! I had an issue this past weekend and they went above and be and beyond to help me. In a world where human decency seems to be lacking, they certainly did their part to show me that it is still around. With most storage companies being equal, customer service and accommodation really is what sets one company apart from another, and the people that operate this location totally get this.

Since Prime Storage purchased Guardian, their storage fees have increased significantly. After 6 months under new ownership, my rate went from $138 to $170 per month. The reason was something to the effect of “aligning better with local market rates”. A year later came $10 monthly increase. The fee for my unit increased more, in 1.5 years under Prime, than in 12 years with Guardian. Access hours have also decreased under Prime. When Prime had initially taken over they charged a $10 late fee and stated they did not have my credit card info for auto-pay. I went to the office & my card info was still on file after the change in ownership. They credited me the next billing cycle. They appear to have done the same with many customers who signed up for auto-pay. The poor young lady who customer service rep who remained when ownership changed got grief from every customer with the same issue. I felt bad for her. Prime also charged me for their insurance while I was insured. My policy recently renewed, but Prime did not ask for renewal documents beforehand. I’ve had continuous coverage with the same company for about 25 years. Guardian always informed me beforehand when they needed any updated documentation. Prime refused to refund me after I provided the renewed policy. When I left Prime, the customer service agent actually said they could charge $35 for not giving 15 days notice. Elsewhere, I found a larger indoor unit for less than my outdoor unit at Prime. I actually pay less now than when Prime took over from Guardian. Prime’s rates are too high for what is provided and communication is lacking.

Excellent customer service. The manager who assisted me (Ryan?) very kindly explained the services they offer. They have an excellent location in New Windsor, and the place itself is extremely clean.
