I made my decision bc it was near U-Haul and I wanted to reduce U-Haul cost. Both at move in and move out, there were problems. When I arrived, the unit that I was assigned to me by customer service was locked. Office was closed, they told me to come back. I told them I needed to return the truck. After insisting on a unit, they made me walk around to find an open unit. Most unit doors were open (see pictures). When I got a unit with customer service on the phone, I had opted out of insurance but after seeing the storage facility, I called back and added insurance. Units were dirty. I always paid my storage rent on time. Luckily my unit wasn’t broken into. Upon move out, I left 2 voicemails stating that I moved out. Everytime I call the local store, the automated system only gave me the option to make a payment. I called multiple times, left voicemails, I emailed, I texted — that I moved out. But they charged me for Dec rent and bunch of fees. The manager told me that they will send it to collections. I was expected to pay for fees after I moved out. If there are in office during office hours or checked their voicemail, move out would be without a problem. Now they want to assign their problem to me. At move out, I saw mouse droppings on my dinner table (see pics). I wouldn’t recommend this place. Customer service is bad, local managers never in the office, especially one at Grandview Road, very rude and unreasonable. Units aren’t clean and infected with mouse. See pictures the day I moved in and at move out. The recent reviews are fake. I’m a real customer, unit #C42

Will be finding another unit ASAP. The rent was just raised for the 3rd time in less then 12 months time. More then doubling the rent. Each time giving less then 30 days notice. And in that time I have seen no upkeep or maintenance to justify the increase in rates.

Since Red Dot bought this local storage location, the friendly customer service and general condition of the units and property have degraded to the point we don’t feel safe renting here any longer. The only thing that’s gone up since Red Dot took over are the rates. There are comparably and much cleaner units within easy driving distance. Why anyone would rent anything from this dump is beyond me.

Wish I could put no stars. This place is a scam. They’ve raised the monthly rate another $15 a month. They keep adding back on insurance when I’ve continually told them every month to not add the insurance. Terrible customer service.

Cleared out a unit, and the manager was super friendly and timely and kind. Shout out to the manager Dave!! ❤️❤️‍🔥
