Adajah and Sheree, the BEST customer service EVER. They are ABOVE AND BEYOND ACCOMODATING AND HELPFUL WHILE MAINTAINING FAIRNESS. They were so happy grateful to help and it made me feel grateful to be here. I was in and out within 5 minutes to buy a few boxes and packing materials for moving and they made sure I had just what I needed in a timely and efficient manner. They brough amazing vibes to the room. I don’t live close by but would literally go across the state to this Public Storage for these ladies. Not even kidding. Come to this public storage and you’ll know what I mean. Love these ladies. Will find a way to come back. Adajah and Sheree, don’t change a thing, keep doing you, excellent business practices. 100/10 stars experience, thanks for the love, appreciation and help.
I’ve been renting a climate controlled unit here – here are my observations:
Pluses :
1.) Relatively strict & modern security practices
2.) Office is usually attended
Cons :
1.) It’s nearly 80 degrees and humid in the unit. Never once felt AC running.
2.) One of Two elevators is broken.
3.) No stair access.
4.) Unit walls do not go all the way to the ceiling.
Update - the thermostat is stuck at 77 degrees and high humidity warning!
Adding another update (new photo) weeks after my above review - temperature outside the building is 65 degrees, Temperature inside “climate controlled” flood is 78… Front desk and manager have not replied to any of my inquiries.
UPDATE : manager responded and said the “keep the temperature above 50 in the winter and below 80 in the summer” - that is NOT “climate controlled”.
great location right off 270. nice ladies. pricing goes up fast then we have to keep moving :/. also no snow removal , climbing over walls of snow with furniture really awful, office staff claims the company wont remove snow-scary terrified of slipping- no shoveling no treatment- nothing. Also phone rarely gets answered - but they call back usually.
This review is directed to Public Storage Corporate Leadership. Immediate intervention is required.
Update (Dec 13, 2025):
Despite repeated outreach, there has been no resolution from Public Storage corporate or the new regional manager. My access remains blocked, disputed fees continue to escalate (January balance now $421), and my personal property is effectively being held without lawful resolution. Multiple adjustment requests, documented hardship notices, and explicit escalation warnings have been ignored.
This is no longer a customer service issue — it is a corporate compliance and consumer protection failure.
Location: Public Storage

1) Predatory Pricing / Deceptive Advertising
I rented a 10×10 unit in Nov 2024 at $180/month. Within 13 months, the rate increased three times to $305/month — a 69% increase, far exceeding industry norms (4–8% annually).
At the same time, this location continues to advertise $1 first month and $61–$86 promotional rates for identical units, while existing customers are subjected to extreme, undisclosed increases — a textbook bait-and-switch.
2) Safety Failures & Property Loss
On Feb 17, 2025 (Presidents’ Day, during posted access hours):
• Elevator malfunctioned repeatedly, trapping customers and refusing access to the 3rd floor
• No staff on site (employees stretched across multiple locations)
• Emergency call button routed to a cell phone, with person hanging up with no action
• As a direct result, my nearly new IKEA bed ($550+ value) was temporarily left on a dolly and later disposed of by staff as “abandoned” without reviewing camera footage
3) Facility Neglect
• Summer HVAC failures (interior temperatures exceeded 84°F)
• Mouse droppings and persistent pest issues inside my unit
4) Improper Denial of Access & Fee Escalation
After paying the prior agreed rate ($250) and formally notifying management of job loss, financial hardship, and temporary absence from the area, Public Storage:
• Cut off my unit access
• Continued adding fees on a disputed balance
• Provided no lawful or documented resolution path
Required Corporate Action
This matter requires immediate executive-level review, not scripted call-center responses. Requested remedies:
1. Immediate restoration of access
2. Removal of disputed fees
3. Rate rollback to a fair market level for 20874 (no more then $250)
4. Compensation for destroyed property
5. Written confirmation of resolution
Absent immediate action, this issue is being escalated through:
• Better Business Bureau
• Maryland Attorney General (deceptive trade practices)
• State representatives and consumer protection channels
Public Storage leadership: this review reflects a systemic failure, not an isolated incident. Thousands of reviews nationwide describe the same pattern — teaser rates, extreme increases, denied access, damaged property, and broken promises.
Prospective customers: Do not store your belongings here!
Run the numbers and expect about a 70% price increase within a year. What seems like a great deal with the first month’s rent at just $1 quickly turns into a gigantic rip-off and a total nightmare.
Corporate: Act now before this becomes a larger regulatory issue.
