My experience renting a unit was nothing less than great. The facility is clean, well-kept, and easy to access. The woman who helped me at the front desk was absolutely awesome. Great personality, great energy, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. Customer service like that makes all the difference. Highly recommend.

I'm rating this as one star due to outrageous spikes in monthly rent. I rented a 10x20 unit from the previous owners of 780 Mini Storage. It cost $209 with a senior discount. I had to move out of state with a plan to come back and get the stuff in this storage unit out. This was 3 years ago. During that time, 780 was bought out by Secure Space. Immediately, the price increased dramatically and then I was demanded to pay an extra $12 on top of that for insurance. The price eventually went up to $321. I have the same size storage unit here in Oregon for $140. Recently, I received notice that the fee will shoot up to $358 plus the $12 insurance fee, so altogether now, I'm having to fork out $370 for a damn storage unit! That's a loan payment for a car or student loan! This is absolutely a rip off! The least the greedy company could do is offer senior discounts or military. I have been my mother's paid live in caregiver 24/7 for 8 years and the pay is not great. I struggle to make ends meet and I have been trying to get this unit out. I would just donate it, but there are personal things in there and I would need to go through everything. My mom was recently hospitalized and sent to a nursing facility, so I lost my job after 8 years as her caregiver. I'm 63 with some medical conditions which make getting a good job where I live a challenge. The payment on this unit was bad enough, but to raise it to nearly $400 is unforgivable greed. The space rent I paid in my mobile home park when I first got here was only $100 more than the storage unit. Again, up here, the same size unit on average is $140. I wish to God the original owner could have kept 780 Mini Storage, the people that ran it were good and worked with us regarding our situation and they were always available to help if your lock rusted and needed to be broken, etc. When I came down last year to get some stuff out and the key didn't work, there was nobody available to break the lock. I was told I would need to make an appointment which would take several days. Altogether, I am sorely disappointed with this company that treats its customers as just another cog in the machine. The former owner and managers were far superior in their consideration of reasonable costs for their customers and in helping them out. Secure Space could learn from this.

EDIT: four stars but I'm now changing it to a two-star rating. Originally I stated this spot was nice and I was excited they had EV chargers- but when I attempted to use them they didn't work. In the past 2 months since I've had this unit every time I come here I try to plug my car into these chargers and they still do not work. This is the first time I've actually called the TV charger company that these charges are made from and they have told me that these charges are not even provisioned yet and they're not set up to work...... Even if they were set up to work the max speed that they're going to get is 60 KW hours which is extremely slow and would take 8 hours to charge my car compared to a level 3 charger that would only take 20min. Secure space could you PLEASE get these chargers working or AT THE VERY LEAST slap a sign on them that says that they don't work! It's totally rude to pretend like y'all got chargers and then have them tell me that "there's a (made up) issue with my card" when I attempt to pay.... Seriously NOT cool. Thank ya
