Yesterday, I rented a unit at Extra Space Storage—Unit B220—and the next day, I rented a U-Haul and took a day off work to move. When I was on the road to the storage—5 minutes before arriving—I got a call from a person named Susan, who told me they were painting the gate and that I couldn’t enter. So I couldn’t access the unit, and I would only be able to do so tomorrow. She suggested I leave the vehicle with all my belongings in the middle of the street, where there are no cameras. I said I can’t do that and asked how we could resolve this, as I was already on my way and no one told me I wouldn’t be able to move in. She said there’s nothing she can do; I can choose another location. So I left that vehicle in the middle of the street. That evening, when I told my job I would also have to take a half-day off the next day, she called me and told me she can’t rent me the unit because she spoke to her manager, and I said I’m dissatisfied and want to take this to attorneys. She told me that because I said that, she’s deleting my account, and I will not be able to rent from them again. I asked why, tried to explain that I don’t fully understand English as I’m just learning. She then told me I definitely understand everything very well and was very rude. Ultimately, she deleted my account. When I told her that this is disrespectful to me, she said that now I’ve really crossed the line and that I’ll never be able to rent from them again. Her name is Susan; she’s a very rude person, they treat their customers terribly, and right now, I don’t know what to do. I took a day and a half off work, rented a vehicle, my belongings are on the street, and my reservation was canceled. I also don’t know when they will refund me for that reservation. I do not recommend them—worst place and worst manager ever.

Suzann is very rude, shows no respect for customers, and treats people like objects. She thinks she can ruin someone’s day without facing any consequences

Started renting at this place couple years ago first, everything was fine until suzanne started managing. Very tight squeeze to get a truck in the vicinity. management was eyeballing my stepdad making sure he didn’t hit anything. He didnt. Hes a professional.
Wasn’t very comfortable feeling she asked her coworker to give a review before a bunch of construction started happening before they painted and had trucks blocking everything I deleted that review because after a couple months lights weren’t working, and I realized I had termites in my unit that we’re leaving little dots all over my belongings I would never recommend this place to anybody. I currently store my things at U-Haul and I’m much happier since moving my things out a couple months ago. What a relief being out of that situation. This is a very unprofessional company. The manager, Susan, has no respect for people who do not speak English well. When you publicly point out on Yelp, Google, or Facebook that the company is doing something wrong, they offer help. However, over the phone they say that because of the negative reviews you left, they will not do business with you and will not rent you a storage unit. This is extremely humiliating and disrespectful treatment of a customer.
My belongings have been in storage for about two months now. I just reopened the door to start unpacking.
There are rodent feces covering my belongings. Ruined boxes and belongings from chewing. To note—all my pantry goods were meticulously placed in mason jars that sealed. I have just begun the unpacking process and will update this review As it unfolds.
