Be very cautious about Public Storage’s pricing model. In June 2024, I rented a 10×15 unit for $132/month. I now pay $288/month for the exact same unit, after multiple increases every six months or less. There are no premium features with my unit. What’s especially frustrating is that Public Storage’s own website currently advertises the same size unit at this location for $91/month. I’m paying nearly $200 more per month than new customers. They advertise “month-to-month, no obligations,” but that flexibility mainly benefits them. Rates increase frequently, and the only way to avoid price hikes is to move out. I’d much prefer a longer-term contract with price protection, but that’s not an option. The location is convenient, but the pricing strategy makes this very hard to justify. Ask detailed questions before renting.

Visited this location today and was BLOWN AWAY by the professionalism, courtesy and downright friendliness of Shannon. There was no doubt she was the boss! She took ownership of our account errors, sold us boxes and other packing supplies, walked us to the storage unit and made sure we had full and hassle free access all the way around. The entire interaction was more like speaking to a friend than a business and the experience was atypical but thoroughly joyful. Whoever operates these should realize that in Shannon, they have a keeper! As they would say in the Air Force, retain and promote ahead peers.

Overall my experience here was fine but trying to cancel my unit, Pam was on lunch and there’s was NO sign up on the door. If there’s an allotted time that workers will be gone for lunch everyday, there should be a sign out so people don’t have to wait around not knowing why the office isn’t open or get one of those flip open closed signs if the time differs. I had called this morning telling her I don’t live close by but I need to cancel my unit and she let me know the store hours and that I’d need to come in to cancel but in person she then tells me I could’ve cancelled online so this inconvenience cost me and hour and 45 minutes from waiting and driving back and forth.
